How to use Datalastic maritime data API?

This is your brief guide to start using maritime data API services by Datalastic.

What is maritime API by Datalastic?

Maritime data REST API is explained very well in the video below. Datalastic REST API web services work in a similar way.

We own a vessel and ports data warehouse with multiple databases that are updated every minute, you can access and use maritime data for a fraction of the actual cost of running such a maritime data warehouse.

See how an API works in the video below

Datalastic Self-service platflorm

Datalastic offers you a self-service subscription model. You do not have to contact Datalastic to obtain the API, the subscription process happens automatically and takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

Once you choose the maritime plan and subscribe, you receive an email with a confirmation and your API key that you can use for any project that you have planned.

1. Choose your Maritime API Plan

Go to the Datalastic pricing page and select the data plan that fits your needs. One of the main differences between plans is the number of “requests” to the database that you will be able to make per month.

For example, requesting the current position of 5 vessels will deduct 5 points out of your monthly requests balance.
